Nice to meet you, my name is Domenico (for many people simply Mimmo). I was born in Turin a few years ago.
My job was as a clerk in the Italian State Railway, the most boring job in the world! I knew that my life could not continue on that path. In 1998 I took an Onav (National Organization of Wine Tasters), tasting course which ignited my passion for wine and after trying to cultivate and make wine from a small vineyard, I decided to become a professional winemaker. I was aware I was taking a leap in the dark, but the passion and the energy of youth gave me the necessary push to start this new adventure. So, in a short time, I found myself in the hills of Asti and precisely in Roatto with vineyards also in Piovà Massaia and in San Paolo Solbrito, which have always been lands of Freisa, Barbera and Bonarda.

GRAPES AND WINES
FREISA, WHY?
Because it is an autochthonous vine deeply tied to the viticultural culture of my area (the first documentation attesting to its existence dates back to the 16th century). Freisa is a bet, Freisa means personal redemption. I believe in it and I like it, that’s enough to make it a flag.
AND BARBERA?
Barbera because we are in Asti area “Asti is Barbera!”
AND THE WHITE WINES?
White wine because I like them.
The world can’t just be dark!
